About
About
The world’s end and the whole world’s civilization must live within one area, chosen to be confined to a limestone mine of fertile consumption is the civilization tries to survive the barren wasteland that earth has become. The entire population having to work together to scavenge and provide for each other. This project idolieses the last living plant left on earth situated at the bottom of the limestone mine. The goal is to survive so the plant is nurtured and cared for to create architecture around it allowing it to grow. As it grows so does the architecture of the world. Confined to strict materials of one home chosen to be saved before the disaster those materials are all that is available to build everything and survive. Bringing together the plant and human life with limited resources entitles new way of design and thinking. Humans and the plant in a harmonious relationship which both benefit and grow. Developing a whole ecosystem and city within, which continuously grows, while choosing to preserve elements of the old world such as the Colosseum which becomes the main hub of civilization. Four cabins are constructed along with machines and transport form the given materials and scavenged resources left in the mine.

Cabin Building Process
Cabin Building Process
Each cabin has been meticulously crafted using components sourced from the Nishichiyoda home in Japan. These materials are employed only once per cabin, reinforcing a disciplined approach to reuse while deliberately introducing material constraints that shape the project’s logic. Rather than drawing from the vast and indiscriminate catalogue of materials available in the contemporary world, the design operates within a carefully bounded material economy, allowing restriction to become a coherent and generative architectural principle. However an exception was made to aquire 200 bricks and 21 steel beams. With a total Kit of parts adding up to 1,472 pieces.

Exhibition Hall
(Hall of Memories)
The city emerges from accumulated matter and memory, assembled from salvaged parts and humble materials. This hall preserves those memories, from the homes that gave rise to it to the scraps and containers once used to transport the column into the civilisation.
The Coliseum operates as the city’s heart, a permeable hub where trade halls and shared amenities converge, allowing movement, exchange and remembrance to coexist through construction that remains clear, durable, and quietly purposeful.
